It’s summer and there are lots of parties and free time for kids to snack on food that isn’t quite healthy for them.
The new United States Department of Agriculture dietary guideline, called MyPlate, is a simple and fun way to teach kids healthy eating habits.
At the University of Guam Summer Adventure Camp, participants learned about MyPlate along with another important aspect of being healthy: exercising.
Mark Perez, a camp director and assistant professor at Central Washington University, said the program helped the kids learn how to be healthy and have fun doing it. (READ MORE…)
