Wildcat School: Central Washington football opens spring practice with a focus on learning

Spring tried its hardest to declare its arrival around Ellensburg Wednesday and swirling in the crisp, fresh air behind Tomlinson Field was a sense of curiosity, a desire to learn and to teach. School is back in session for the Wildcats.
Spring quarter has been in session for a few weeks at Central Washington University, but Monday marked the first of 15 spring football practices for the Wildcat football team. CWU is not yet in full pads, but everything above the shoulders is sure to be tested each and every practice, pads or not. Head coach Blaine Bennett and his staff want to teach as much as possible in the next month in an attempt at getting a head start in filling some big shoes left empty by graduation.
