Host team hit and miss at Central Washington rodeo

It’s been more than a month since the Central Washington University rodeo team took to the arena dirt, and after taking stock of the first night of three days of rodeo here, there’s a little rust to knock off before the end of the weekend.

CWU, hosting this weekend’s stop of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s Northwest Region at the Ellensburg Rodeo arena, had a couple of near misses and close calls on Friday. But that’s not to say nothing went well. The best performance – in terms of ranking – went to two Ellensburg cowboys; Blue Mountain Community College’s Tait Tucker and CWU’s Joey Bergevin.
