ELLENSBURG, Wash.–Up and coming band, Viper Creek Club (VCC), will perform at Central Washington University Thursday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the SURC Pit. VCC hails from Seattle and brings a fresh, electro-pop sound with its mixing of keyboards, synthesizer and guitar techniques creating a completely unique musical performance. This event is free and open to the public.
Mat Wisner and Brandon Jensen are the duo behind the band. Both artists have a combined 15 years of musical experience that has enabled them to write and record all their own music. Wisner is the lead singer and is also on the keyboards and beats, while Jensen is on the guitar.
VCC will release its first album, “Letters,” this summer. The first single, “Eliza,” created quite a stir when VCC invited Seattleites to join in on the filming of the music video. They wanted a real-life house party scene, so nothing was staged as masses of people crowded the venue while having a genuinely good time.
“The imagery is lush, the story is vivid, the party is wild and, of course, the music is fantastic,” said Nikki Benson, executive editor and founder of Seattle Show Gal, in regards to the completed music video.
In addition to creating music for their own band, they both produce music for local artists as well. Wisner records and mixes for local bands and acoustic musicians, while Jensen produces and engineers for local hip hop artists.
