Twelve from CWU selected as members of 2010 Silver Cortege

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Twelve Central Washington University juniors have been selected as members of the 2010 Silver Cortege for Central’s 119th Commencement ceremonies this weekend.

The Silver Cortege leads the procession of graduates into commencement and is made up of a select group of students who have achieved academic excellence at CWU.

Members of the 2010 CWU Eastside Silver Cortege are James Moore, Chelan; Holly Powell, South Bend; Jeremy Reddick and Fan Yi, both of Ellensburg; Jessica Trappmann, Key Largo, Fla.; and Sheena Wildes, Spokane.

Members of the Westside Silver Cortege are Jessica Berumen, Issaquah; Tessa Harrington, Kent; Annelie Ingvarsson, Gothenburg, Sweden; Rosa Lesnett, Des Moines, Wash.; Joseph Olive, Lakewood; and Suzanne Selby, Port Orchard.

The university’s Eastside Commencement is at 9:30 a.m. for graduates of the College of Education and Professional Studies and the College of Business. A second ceremony is at 1:30 p.m. for graduates of the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of the Sciences and Interdisciplinary and Individual Study majors. Both ceremonies are at Tomlinson Stadium.

Central’s Westside Commencement is Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
