Central Washington University officials laid off four employees this week and are in the process of de-funding 41 positions to help cope with a $29.2 million cut in state funding over the next two years.
The number of layoffs is less than anticipated, said CWU President Jim Gaudino. Last week university officials said six people would be laid off, but one person found another job and resigned, and a second position was funded with different money. (READ MORE…)
