VANCOUVER — His name is Adam Bighill. But to Washington State University he was more like Adam Speedbump.
“WSU literally came into my high school [in Montesano. Wash.] and told my coach, ‘If he were two inches taller, we’d take him'”, Bighill explained Sunday, following Lions practice in Surrey. “I came from a small 1-A school, anyway. So it was hard to get a look from a Division 1 school that way. And to be considered undersized, too . . . that’s how I ended up at Central Washington.”
