ELLENSBURG — The Sidewalk Stompers roamed Ellensburg’s downtown over the weekend, making multiple appearances during the annual Jazz in the Valley music festival.
“As soon as you start playing, people come out of the woodwork,” said band leader Karl Walterskirchen of Pasco. He plays the banjo and is in charge of keeping the rhythm and providing the chords.
It took the group about three hours to go around one block of the downtown where it gave performances at local businesses such as The Tav and Brix. (READ MORE…)
