Tuition Trials: Non-traditional CWU students balance budget, school, kids | Daily Record

Central Washington University students Lisa and Adam Fields must balance the rigors and expense of school with the challenge of raising three kids, from left, Cole, 7, Cody, 9, and Cain, 2.

A typical day for Adam and Lisa Fields begins about 5 a.m. They get up, take care of their three boys, ages 2 1/2, 7 and 9, and make sure the two oldest children make it to the school bus by 7 a.m.
The youngest has to be at child care between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Then Adam, 32, and Lisa, 30, begin their classes at Central Washington University.
The couple, who are seniors at CWU, say they don’t want to be students for any longer than necessary, considering the increasing price of college. (READ MORE…)
