From the Sidelines: Little bit of winning makes big difference | Daily Record

It’s amazing what a little winning can do for a team.

Two weeks ago, Central Washington University had a reeling football team. People were confused, disappointed and, frankly, more than a little ticked off about a 14-7 loss to Western Oregon that capped an 0-3 start and fueled a slow burn through the team throughout its bye week and leading into its battle with Simon Fraser.

Now, the Wildcats have won two straight games by a combined 51 points – neither actually as close as the final score showed – with undefeated league leader Humboldt State coming to Ellensburg this weekend fresh off a victory at UC-Davis, an NCAA Division I FCS team. (READ MORE…)
