As Halloween is approaching, kids everywhere are beginning to anticipate a night of fun and the trick-or-treat candy they plan to consume. On Halloween night, Central Washington University Campus Activitieswill sponsor the 19th annual Boo Central. The free event, open to all children up to the fifth grade, will take place Monday, October 31, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Ballroom.

“Boo Central is the perfect opportunity for families to enjoy a full evening of fun and safe Halloween activities,” said Scott Drummond, Campus Activities director. “On average, more than 500 kids from our community have attended in past years and we look forward to seeing that many, maybe even more, this year.”

With help from various CWU clubs and organizations there will be activities, games, face painting, give-a-ways, and much more. Campus Activities will also provide treat bags, donated by local businesses, so everyone is guaranteed plenty of candy to take home.

For the event, the SURC Ballroom will be decorated with the appropriate ambiance without making it too scary for the younger kids, Drummond pointed out. Everyone attending Boo Central is encouraged to dress up in his or her Halloween best.
