A Selah High School teacher and CWU alumna is the state Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher of the Year.
Michelle McCartney received the award Tuesday during the summer conference of the Washington State Association of Career and Technical Education at the Yakima Convention Center.
“I think it’s just a real honor to be recognized in your profession,” McCartney said Wednesday. “Teachers all work hard. Everyone is really deserving of recognition. It’s humbling and a true honor to get recognition like that.” (READ MORE…)
