The Jazz in the Valley education committee has awarded the JIV Young Musician Scholarship Award to Taryn Zickefoose for the 2011-12 school year.
Zickefoose is a percussion performance and special education major at Central Washington University and hopes to pursue a master’s degree in music therapy.
A transfer student who is originally from Edmonds, she has studied jazz since the seventh grade, according to information from Jazz in the Valley. (READ MORE…)
